Britney Spears Is Hiring! Tell Us Why You Should Be Her ‘Media Manager’

If you went to Harvard and love Britney Spears (assuming the two aren’t mutually exclusive), well, then do we have the job for you!

Late last week, according to TechCruch.com, a post went up on a Harvard-only job message board announcing that Brandcasting Unlimited — the company that “manages BritneySpears.com and all Britney’s digital media and online properties” — was looking for someone to corral all those sites. Yes, they’re looking for one Harvard grad to become “Britney Spears’ 2.0 Media Manager.”

(Read the latest news on Britney Spears’ new single here.)

The new employee would be asked to “Develop interactive programs such as contests,” “Engage with fans by posting messages, responding to questions and moderating discussions” and “Monitor Ms. Spears’ daily Cheetos intake” (just kidding about that last one). Applicants should be “social media experts,” have experience building social networks online and — perhaps most important, given the recent high jinx on Spears’ Twitter account — “know how to moderate content and when to ban party crashers.”

The post also goes to great lengths to point out that the main qualification to be Britney’s new media manager is that you love social networking and are constantly checking in on pop-culture dumping grounds like PerezHilton.com. Which means that something like 98 percent of the population under 40 is in the running for the position.

And since we’re pretty sure that the job isn’t just open to those who passed through Harvard’s ivy-clad halls (because that would probably be illegal), that means every Britney nut with a degree from cosmetology school and a serious Facebook addiction should definitely be updating their resumes right now.

Requests for comment from Britney’s camp went unreturned (probably because they’re sifting though applicants), and we’d like to help make their job search easier. In the comments, let us know why you’d be qualified to manage Brit Brit’s media, and we’ll try to pass the best and brightest onto Spears’ team
